It’s not vandalism, I would gladly offer my services to the cause if I was unfortunate enough to live in the effected area. I’m hoping that when this extended ULEZ goes live every single camera gets taken out over a few hours. Sadistic Khan is a vile individual.
No doubt there be made into some.kind of heros.
Wouldn’t mind betting…that they either don’t drive or drove electric cars.
Have to laugh though read the. Article someware it says we can’t comment.how much cameras are worth how much installation is etc on security grounds…other words it’s a fortune and do t want us to know

Well this is from just 1 company £3k ish a pop
Hypothetical Camera Cost Range:
Video Camera Cost (Not including server & software) - £470 - £700
Specialised ANPR Camera Cost (One off) - £1000 - £3000
Average Installation Cost Range: £700 - £1000
Barrier or Gate Installation Cost Range: £1500 - £3000
yet you can drive a Lamborghini Countach or Lamborghini Aventador in the ULEZ no problem… but my grandmother’s 25 year old Nissian Micra? … gotta throw a charge on that lol.
This is the type of crap that has me worried about a Starmer government… It will be hard to outdo the tories with how bad they have done… but I think Starmer will do his best to try.
I just love how they have put an out of towners tax on people travelling to Chessington world of adventures and Harefield Hospital, 2 little islands of ULEZ And this is all about air quality not revenue? yeah right.
OK, so Chessington is a leisure facility so dont really need to go. Charging people who aren’t fit enough to walk/use public transport to get to one of the premier heart hospitals in the country is a travesty.
Wouldn’t mind so much if the public transport links were anywhere near decent and affordable but instead of an hour and 20 car journey from my house to Chessington its over 3 hours with 3 trains and 2 buses.
Harefield is even worse, hour and 15 car, 3hrs with 2 buses and 4 train/underground
Gave us one up there Fuzrat, some family live at Croxley Green, just had a poke nose at the forthcoming ULEZ map and come the 29th Croxley is only just outside the force field.
No doubt the every 15 minute 24/7 bus will suffice for those using Harefield Hospital
The people who come up with this ■■■■■■■■ haven’t the foggiest idea how normal people live or what their taxed-till-the-pips-squeak disposable incomes might be.
This is going to make the true purpose of the ULEZ - “Money Spinning” - far harder, if the cameras that allow fines to be sent though the post “are now not going to happen”.
My own car is currently ULEZ compliant, but will no longer be so a year from now.
I have no intention of replacing my car, as it is in my habit to run each and every car I’ve ever owned - into the ground, scrapping them when the MOT runs out, and it is no longer viable to spend more than the car cost in the repairs necessary to get it through what would have been it’s next MOT.
This year - I’ve got my car through for a mere £225 including the repairs necessary, and cost of the actual MOT.
I have not been to London in my own car since 2017.
I wonder when supply companies “pull the plug” and refuse to deliver to anything in London - “It costs too much”…?
You’d think that the authorities would have a backup camera looking at the ULEZ camera - to catch those responisble for what is still criminal damage, at the end of the day…
Tis a pity that “Private Individual-facing cameras” are wasted on some of us driver folk though - eh?
The public - really don’t like to see cameras swivelling around looking at them walking down the street - do they?
As such, that reduces the list of suspects for this “Criminal Damage” down to about 28million road users… Maybe they can halve that again, if one can read a person’s gender into the way they walk, etc. but what happens if any of these “Masked… ” are Gender-Fluid?

If I see someone doing this, I will do my civic duty.
My civic duty will be not to film it and not put it on the internet.
“Walk On By” is by this point - our cultural heritage.
What used to be cold “Old Liberal” has become that which you have just defined, I reckon - as I totally agree with you 100%.
It isn’t a leftist thing to be that, as during the lockdown the leftists were out in force with "You’re not wearing your mask! - You’re killing Granny! - You’re One of those mentally ill believers in conspiracy theories! - You’re getting reported, and your kids taken into care!"
In my even Old Liberal book, that makes such a person a useless lickcock grass not worth the steam from my ■■■■ - which of course makes me “Far right Maniac” to them.
“Lickcock” because they oppose the usually hated filthy Tory government over anything and everything, but all of a sudden they are keen to massively enforce the wearing of Covid masks, the injection of people under 50 to their statistical detriment (no good done, possible 1 in 1000 harm done).
“Steam from my ■■■■” as being an old git, I find it harder to let it go these days, which increases it’s value, due to the rarity factor.
Funny no one protests the night hgv ban cameras but when it concerns THEM now it’s a problem. f londoners, every other car there is electric or a Toyota Prius hybrid anyway

Also just to add Kent CC has said and ULEZ signage etc put on any of their sign or lamp posts or road infrastructure will be removed
But for some reason Tory controlled KCC and Surrey CC and HCC and ECC haven’t seen the need to call on the Tory government to repeal the London government Act and return all their stolen Boroughs’ that created the GLC and GLA, thereby removing Khan’s powers over them.
As opposed to Conservative London lover Andrew Boff calling for an even Greater London thereby adding to them. While the counties in question build even more of London on their turf.
