When I was on glass we went either Mont Blanc or Frejus (prefered Mont Blanc myself). It’s a pain going via Swiss when loaded, too much hassle for my taste. Going via Bremer, scenery is great but maut charges in Germany and Austria are steep, but if you aren’t paying it yourself, what the hell

Doesnt make any difference when youre off down coast that far.
The Blanc can be slow with controls and checks
You’ve had loads of good suggestions here Eddie and it’s now for you to make your choice.
Just head south-east from Calais and you should be OK.
Don’t forget to take some photos.
