At a guess I’d say you will be delivering oversized packages. I think it’s just to businesses, but then you have home based businesses too so it could be interesting.
Does Sid still do the night trunk out of sittingbourne?
i use to do a bit for uk mail out of cullompton in devon, late morning starts was usally drop a drag off in exeter to be loaded then, of the mid devon drop off a load of cages pick up the full ones, the back into exeter collect the loaded drag, back to cullompton unload and then get ready for the night trunkers to go up to brum, all finish off home never did any deliveries to houses might do the odd returns to a couple of business but that was it, it was so easy you could do it with your eyes shut nearly

class 2 use to only drop off empty cages and collect full cages the same really
did a couple of weeks in the Edinburgh depot before they moved to Livingston…
it was one of the easiest placements i ever did… that was class 1 work…
even when they put me in a rigid it was only to jump into Glasgow twice a day … everything was in cages… back to Edinburgh…
11.00 am is probably a bit late to be doing deliveries. You will most likely be doing bulk collections and dropping empty cages. It’s good work and all good kit. It only becomes graft when you get a night run up to the mad house that is the hub in brum and a round trip to one of the smaller depots. I use to do 340 miles a night and timed to the minute. But as i say, days are a doddle.
