After many hours sleepless nights, I have decided to return to “the road”, I am going back as an OD but this time with no debt behind me, a 3 year old Daf 95 is coming home with a euroliner in tow.
Question is, has anyone recently transited the old Yugo route, now croatia Bosnia ect ect to Greece, rather than take the ferry from Ancona or Bari to Patras

hi ya buddy, if u try transiting old yugo u may well find yourself in world of grief, best thing u can do is transit austria, hungry to romania to bulgaria via becket ferry and on to kulat intyo greece, will take you5 days. good luck need anymore help wiv that contact me on 01235559325 macsdaff
Trevor, that is fantastic and your debt-free business plan will allow you to go by the way you want, not the way the freight forwarder wants!
I have driven back overland from Greece, via Serbia, but it was about twelve years ago so I think any advice I gave would be well past its sell-by date…

i agree with harry, you would be much quicker going thru blanc/frejus or swiss to Ancona. i used to do hemel hemstead to Athens via Swiss and Ancona Patras, empty to Prato, back to Suffolk in 9/10 days. It would prob take you that to get there overland. I really dont understand why you would want to go overland, obviously for the journey and not the money maybe?
the ferries are now between 850 and 1060 euros each way ! it was cheaper when you were working for Kim !! so going overland works out cheaper for the company. but some still go on the Ancona ferry.
