Where I work. there seems to be more and more cars parked on the carpark. That hav e taxi licence plates on the back. Probably Uber drivers.
And a few of them belong to drivers.
I know it’s not technically allowed as would be a second job and there would certainly fall foul of tacho laws etc.
Why do they do it though? as can’t make much I’d of thought..have get special taxi insurance plus no doubt Uber take there huge slice of any work they give out.
Then there’s fuel n other costs.
They week 50 plus hours a week driving a truck then go out taxi driving I don’t get it.
Surely people don’t need the money that badly.
Plus there away from friends and family working all hours
Just don’t get it .
Do any othes have this at there workplace.
They obviously do need the money that badly. There’s a LOT of people out there struggling. The UK is in much worse shape than most people realise. Mate of mine drives 45-50 hours night trunking, can only just keep a 1 bed flat going, run a car, and give his daughter a bit of a life. Can’t save anything.
