Literally passed my class one 3 weeks ago, I have been driving class 2 for 5+ years, sent out a load of cv’s out a week ago and two company’s have asked to see me already, happy days!
In quite a good position as I am in work so I can be picky!
They is work out there lads, get out there and find your break you need!!

Shunting on docks previously has made up for no 2 year experience crap 
Most companies I found,want you to have 2 years exp on class 1’s,irrespective of what experience you have on class 2’s.
The company Ive got a job with gave me a shot based on my attitude during the interview with the TM.They aren’t that concerned with the 2 year thing. They are really good with me and im happy as a pig in sh*t.
As long as you are happy that’s all that matters, will see how I get on when I go in 
I’m going to get £730 next week. But because they still think I’ve got two jobs I’ll lose 32% of that. So I’m going to take home £496.40.
So yes it’s do-able. (And better once I get rid of the emergency tax)
Edit: 31 to 32% and £503.70 to £496.40
