Twin axle city trailer?

[album]5[/album]
I did a job last nite with one of these 30 foot trailers with twin rear steering axle, it had a moffet on the back. It was a ■■■■■ to drive in a straight line. everytime I hit the tram lines at 50+ mph the back end of the trailer started swaying from side to side.
Does anyone else have any experience of them?

not with a moffet on the back, but when I used to drive for Tescos on agency quite often got a steerable tandem axle trailer, no problem going forward but when reversing you have to be a little bit mean with the opposite lock, i.e. just one swing of opposite the follow it round, even on a 90 degree turn. Your problem with the trailer swing when you hit the tramlines is almost certainly down to the moffet providing quite a sizable counter weight right at the back, right where you don’t want it, especially if your’e travelling light.

Thanks for the reply we also have a single steerable trailer which I’ve never had a problem with. Would you just recomend keeping the speed down when light?
