When you are parked up surely you want to be out of the drivers seat?!
remove the panel above the door, get a large(ish) square of plywood and mount the tv wall bracket to the ply through the panel
this way, the ply is between the outer skin and the panel
as in
outer skin/ply/panel/wall bracket/tv
this will take the weight of the tv
nice one gonna have to get it fitted as saves getting it out every night
and yes i will be out of the drivers seat as will be able to see it from bunk i would mount it on side panel in rear but theres a top bunk in the way
Personally I would take it out every night anyway, cos other drivers are so inquisitive and want to fiddle with things, and that’s when things get broke… And they will swear blind they never touched it.

I always use the drivers seat, in fact my passenger seat is folded up with my cool box underneath. I don’t like that side of the lorry I’m more comfortable on the right.
Iv got mine hanging on the end of my bunk with cable ties attached to the bracket then hang it off the coat hooks… This way i dont damage the truck but screwing in holes and then i just lay it on my bunk or topbunk when driving
Well fortunately i dont have to decide anymore but when i did nights out the last thing i wanted after sitting in it all day was to be couped up in the drivers seat.
Can you not lift the bunk up then you will still get it on the rear side panel?
I have mine mounted over my passenger door but would recommend you put it over drivers door for 2 reasons
It’s actually an offence to be able to see the tv from the drivers seat (or so I’m told)
If your parked in a lay by and in bed watching it you will have to lye with your head nearest the road, not a good idea
never thought of my head near the road in a layby i always sleep that way unless the camber is miles out the other way
I wedged a length of chipboard at the end of my bunk and up behind the top bunk. A nice tight fit and you can still drop the bunk if you need to. Then I screwed a tv bracket that had two arms so I could swing the tv, when fitted, over the drivers seat position. You have to flip the seat forward. A bungle cord screwed to the board above the tv when the bracket is folded up and a hook below to stop the tv from swing about when driving. Really good view and tucked away from prying eyes.

i had one fitted above the passenger door in a left ■■■■■■ SSC, i spent most of my time in Europe, and thought about what youve mentioned especially with the French coppers seeing it, so i bought a size small t-shirt with Marshall amplification logo on it and basically fitted it over the telly and tucked the arms of the t-shirt in, it looked really smart, like it was a Marshall amplifier/speaker for the sound system.

Dude, he’ll probably be lying on the bunk whilst watching the tv…
Both our trucks have rear windows, I decided to buy a iPad holder that has two suckers, its perfect for watching a film while lying on the bunk, it also keeps it nice and close so you get a clear picture and sound.
