Turners of Soham

Anyone know if you are allowed to park up here onsite and have a 9 hr break?

If not anywhere handy to park up within 5 - 10 minutes away?

No you can’t if you head into Newmarket there is an industrial estate on the right have parked in there before but it was a while back so don’t know if you still can as a last resort there is a layby when you come of the A14 heading to Turner’s don’t know if there is anything if you are coming to Soham from the north

If you head down the old A11 road (Now re-designated A1304) from Newmarket Southwest towards Six Mile Bottom
You’ll have to drive through Newmarket proper to get on this exit road. Follow the road from the depot into Newmarket, turn Right at the roundabout.

There is a couple of laybys on both sides of the road that are usually empty overnight as the foreign drivers don’t seem to have it as common knowledge here.

They maybe shallow laybys, but the traffic on this road is very quiet overnight - or at least it was last time I was a regular parker in these very spots when I working for Brakes 3 years ago.

NW gets you to a roundabout where you can either go through Newmarket and get to Soham that way (junction with Fordham Road, A142)
OR you can take the A1303 road off at the roundabout SW of Newmarket (that you get to first thing…) which will get you on an on-slip to the Westbound A14 towards Cambridge and beyond.
OR you can just carry on SW on the A1304, go through six mile bottom, and merge with the new A11 bypass dual carriageway towards FourWentWays junction (for the A505 Duxford road, and northbound M11)
or carry on and merge with the southbound M11 if you keep on going…

Bloody hell winseer you’ll give them heart attacks on here suggesting lay-bys as somewhere to park ha ha
