Turners of Soham Idiot!

I’ve noticed Sainsbury’s trucks are flying now days

Actrosman:
As I drive an older Scania, I pull the fuse for the (my secret) as it’s connected to the limiter…give 'em a little wave and pish all over 'em…

You must have really long arms to do it from the drivers seat.

And Morrisons trucks. They are fast. Tescos still slow though

Who gives a ■■■■, I bet this happens to someone on here, every day of the week. You don’t see hundreds of ■■■■■■■■ threads about it.
I’m paid by the Hour, if I can ‘easily’ pass someone (like a 52mph limited Wincanski unit) I will, otherwise what the hell.
Did you really speak to some tool at Turnski in Soham and ■■■■■ about one of their Drivers, how ■■■■■■■ sad, I bet he put the phone down and thought, “what a ■■■■, just the type of guy we want” lol.

+1 this is so infuriating why obey one law and not another.

Go on then - why do you obey one law and not another?

Not sure what you’re getting at here if you drive at 40 on all single carriage way then you should drive at 50 on dual carriageway which is my point hitting the limiter on a dual is as illegal as driving at 50 on a single carriageway, personnally i sit on the limiter whenever the situation allows and that is my choice and i will not critisize any man who sits at 40 however will find it amusing when same driver doesn’t know the limit for a dual carrigeway

One thing I have noticed on the A36 round Warminster is that HGVs sit at 40mph and then when the road changes to two lanes up hill and one lane down hill they speed up to 56mph. It’s still a single carriage way! It only becomes dual carriage way when there is a seperator between the opposite directions. It’s very annoying if you are in a 7.5 tonner stuck behind an hgv doing 40 then when you do get an extra lane to overtake they speed up cos they think its dual carriage way. It’s not! You can have 5 lanes in either direction and its still a single carriage way unless there is a sign saying dual carriage way or grass or a barrier or some other sperator between the the oncoming traffic. The drivers that speed up to 56mph on a two lane singe carriage way are either ignorant or just being awkward zbs. Dual carriage way means TWO seperate roads

Those stretches of roads in particular are a right bug bear of mine. I stick at 40, and the number of times that I’ve seen vehicles, not just lorries, slamming on because of the talivans or the roadside camera.

I am “getting at” the point that you (and others) ask “Why obey one law and not another?” when you also choose to obey some laws and not others. Surely you know the answer already?

Jesus, i’m sure the guy knows wether he was on a hill or not.

So the guy speeds up when you’re in the middle of overtaking him = definition of a moron.

Simples.

You expect it from some car drivers but not truck drivers.

Sorry Roymondo, what I actually meant and god knows why I didn’t write it in the first place is if you’re gonna speed on a DC why not speed on an SC? I personally would never speed in built up areas! If you have driven the length of the A17 (and I use this road as my example and I know there are others) you would appreciate how dangerous 40mph is! U get the lead truck, then the one behind it sits right up his backside leaving no room for the impatient drivers who want to overtake to get in, thus making someone have to brake sharp!

I also appreciate we’re not all perfect and some drivers want/need to get on with their day, that’s why drivers that do 40 on SC should be more considerate and stick to the limit on a DC and let ones that want to pass get on with it! It’s only your own licence that its affecting so why do these drivers feel they have the god given rit to take the law into their own hands?

Retro rob:
You get this kinda thing on the A17 all the time.
40 is the limit so that’s not really a problem, however when they get to the Sleaford bypass they speed up to 56! I thought the limit for a truck was 50 on dual carriageway! This is why other drivers get angry because 3-4 miles later its back to 40 again! There is no need for it! Obey the law fully or not at all!

+1

+2 it has to be said, a small minority of drivers get the horn from having a long line of traffic held behind them.
