Turn you car sat nav into a truck nav!

I came across this site and wondered if anybody uses it

Your views are welcomed. I know its not going to be as good as a 7150 or snooper but surly it works for weight, height limits etc and will stop me picking up points and fines

Already “upgraded” my tomtom, added the up to date map, speed cameras, low bridges, all with verbal warnings…no weights though…all for free.
Also got 7.5t weight limits on as well.

i think the cheap version is just a poi database, meaning it will tell you of a restriction when you approach it but will not route around it.

its just a poi dosent route you round anything dosent even warn you of them just shows them on the map same as low bridges . com which is cheeper

I have pro cab from hgv solutions and wouldn’t recommend it. Does very little and costs quite a lot.

If you really want to turn a standard tomtom into a truck edition it can be done. Google ‘tomtom truck maps and navcore’ you’ll get loads of results. It’s been discussed here too viewtopic.php?f=2&t=99195

:sunglasses:

Its not worth a penny…

£55 for POIs, and it’s still not a truck sat-nav, far too much to pay in my opinion.

i thought as much however these people will make lots of cash selling these to unsuspecting hardworking people trying to save a quid or two :imp:

Dont waste your cash, its a bunch of poi’s that are freely available online
