Turkey advise please

Any advise for flying to Istanbul, then rent a cheap car,to drive south to the scuba dive sites of Fetiye,Marmaris, etc, what pitfalls are to be encountered on route,as in police bribes for fictional offences, and so on,cheers.Could fly direct, but want to see some of the country.

Try and get a flight to Ata Turk Airport it is the main airport, it is about a 10 hour drive to Fethiye, Turkish Police do have radar speed checks and do on the spot fines, if you Google car hire Turkey you will get some good deals, take some warm clothing it is nice in Fethiye this time of year but quite chilly in the evening go for self catering Tesco have just opened a store in Fethiye over there they are called Kippa there are also Migros 3 stores and Tanzas which is also owned by Migros, if you Google Calis Beach Forum this is an excellent forum to seek advice from and also get a good deal on accommodation, good luck this is a part of Turkey I know well and love.

THANK YOU Friar Tuck, spot on info.

Make sure it’s properly thawed then cook at gas mark 6 for 20 minutes per pound plus 20 minutes. Insert a skewer into the thigh to check the juices run clear indicating your turkey is done! Bit early for this still? Or are you doing it for Thanksgiving?

Good news for Turkey today…

Bernard Matthews started his empire in Norfolk from scratch, in the early days of trading he could count the number of turkeys he had on one hand.

I bought a turkey last week. I asked the guy would it be alright in the freezer till Christmas and he assured me it would.

Checked the following day and it was dead.
