Strap the back two pallets.
As above if XL trailer or rope it using dolly knots then shut the curtains and act natural.
Could use a net also but to much of a faff.
Or just crack on.
[First one to say straps, has to sit on the naughty step or my lap, whichever is preferred.]
I did see a driver who had a pallet upside down on top of each pallet of turf then put the ratchet straps over the whole lot.
So it seems I don’t have turf. … I have top soil instead, in tonne bags. All I have are the internal straps or ratchet and straps. …

Use em both, your ratchet straps may come loose after the first few bumps so attach them somewhere they won’t fall on the road.
Whether your load will pass a random vosa stop is another matter, but most of us would just use the internals, criss cross a couple of ratchet straps at the back and jobs a good un.
Some of us may just shut the curtains and go for it.
If the pallet of turf weighs more than 400 kgs then it needs a ratchet strap, if under 400 then internals are good to go.
close the curtains and crack on.
just don’t drive like a looney you will be fine.
When we loaded in Germany we had 22 Ton by a full Load, but the NL load was heavier as it was Wet,comming from Russia.
So check Weight (We had one Lorries Load 24 Ton on the Paper. The Customer showed a Factura over 38 Ton. He said he wasnt able to overtake one with his Volvo

I see the 400 quoted quite a lot. I never strap pallets at work because they’re always really light.
