Mont Blanc Tunnel

The Mont Blanc Tunnel will be shut for safety checks from 21.00 on Monday 20th September to 06.00 on Tuesday 21st September 2004.

St. Gotthard Tunnel

The St. Gotthard Tunnel in Switzerland will be closed from 20.00 to 05.00 every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night between 6th September and 1st October 2004.

Goods vehicles of over 3.5t will be stopped and directed to park to the north and south of the tunnel from 19.30. Light vehicles, coaches and trucks with an authorisation will be diverted via the St. Gotthard Pass.
