well thank you all for your comments and yes im going to take the job offer.

Good luck mate a jobs a job and in sure it will be fine for you

Ho Ho Ho. The numpty knows nothing, his posts are mainly on Pictures of trucks. He’s going to get his nuts worked off and find he’ll be paid for a fraction of the time he “thinks” he’s worked. But lets face it fools have to learn at the beginning.

If this fool is willing to ignore andys comments, a driver that has actualy worked for Tundermans, he deserves everything he gets.
Best he tells his mum not to let his room.

berewic:
Speed limit is 90ks. Sat morning 5am, leaving just short of Hannover. No traffic or abnormal train problems. On the limiter all day. You don’t get many like that. :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: Tipping white goods Milton Keynes Monday morning.

technically the speed limit in germany is 80 but crack on if you can

Maybe so but not every guy who works for a rogue company works by there rules berewic■■? Been there and got the teashirt thats why i said good luck and not to criticise as it could be that maybe that company is running sweet now! :unamused:

There are good bosses and bad bosses , all i can say is check what the CAO
wage is before signing any thing Vas will be able to help here, as this is the wage you shopuld be getting,if you have the qualifications,The dutch have been useing
computors in their vehicles long before any one else and many drivers are happy , by the way 90kms in germany will cost you and if you go up and down with the speed they can /will DO YOU FOR EVERY TIME YOU HAVE GONE OVER THE
80KM SPEED LIMIT FOR LORRYS if they wish as it is a german LAW, and belive me it does get enforced .

Most companies in Europe use Telemetry to keep an eye on what is happening with the trucks or drivers. This is my last boord computer.

I had an ICS / Punch system earlier but both types give you the option of stopping for the toilet or to punch someones lights out. They can be even be programmed to be linked to a satnav or have one built in. The biggest advantage I found was that you never get a wrong or incomplete address. If you toss it off, it will catch you out though.

Telemetry isn’t new, I was impressed with the system that Robbies Dad showed me. I posted a picture of the old ICS system once. I will try to find it again. That worked with a black box which we downloaded or posted to the office to get paid.

This is the ICS / Punch model. The normal type that the Dutch use and have more bells and whistles than the Quattro

Transics Quattro that is exactly the same system that we use coupled to a prat-nav, not bad updates it’s own position every 20 minutes automatically or can be done as the planners wishes.

just to put you right berewic im no fool!!when your out of work and nowt about to scatch ya backside with then this will do as a short term deal,a BIT of money is better then NO money in my book.

thanks mate hope its not all boats, can get some hours in then are you still there then?

nor mate packed in dont get us wrong its not the worst job in the world like every thing good days bad days if u go in to tundermans warehouse at europort the a miserable so n so they just look at ya if u want to get ur hours in to the shunts from there to the boat good food at the bar next to there yard bit pricey tho carnt rember its name doing containers at moment and its doin me head in waitin for things to pick up

i used to work for them quite recently and i wouldnt ■■■■ on them if no water around and they were on fire,
watch your money as they not good on paying, they expect you to run bent but will not cover you so watch your hours, some drivers there were doing 8 days running and company was giving them a so called" holiday" so they could, watch your overloading also which was regular with 45ton on 5 axle to uk, if your dutch your ok but not good to english,
when you 1st start the boss tells you what you can errn if your willing, but dont stand still as you wont get paid, even on boats and your on them a lot,and no pay while weekended only nightout when they remember, you cab hop for few wks then you get a motor but dont expect to get a clean one as most are dirty inside, as for holidays you get paid only one way, they will dump you miles away from home and offer no moneys to get there all i got told was,“are there no public transport in uk” and “thats what you get for working for a dutch company” the planner is a 2 faced guy.

so my advice avoid like the plaig, unless you like it that way,im not bitter i dont want anyone else to have to find out the hard way working for scum!!

well thanks for all of that lads but iv NOT gone to tunderbirds, had some time off and started at a container company out of leeds
