Heading back towards Barnsley last night at around 9.20pm, just past the bridge near Vals cafe, saw a truck coming the other way flashing his lights. I backed off a tad just in time to see a car coming round him, right into the path of my truck. The car was overtaking the truck on a blind right hander at this point, the T055er!
The only reason why the car missed the front of both us was because we’d both taken avoiding action.
It put the fear of God up me.
The truck was one of Tuffnells as it turned out and, if you are the Driver of said truck, let me say well done, your forward thinking and the warning that you gave to others saved someone from a trip to A&E or worse.

What tell Tuffnells one of their drivers slowed down?

The same thing happened to me last year, same corner. I was taking a 20’ box to Trafford park just approaching the bend and some idiot in a silver Merc overtakes me, completely blind. The daft thing was he could have passed me coming down the hill.
Must have been a limper. Tuffnells drivers i know, never work to that standard. 
Common sense seems to have gone straight out the window when it comes to car drivers doing this kinda thing, not that that’s news to anyone on here. Props to the Tuffnells driver for warning you though.
