Hy, I looking for HGV trunking job,since last year , i sent so many cv s.
everywhere they ask experience, but i have got for hgv2 multridrop 1 year from 2008.Anyone know any agency who can help me at North London Area?i prefer airside hgv or trunking.but I happy to do any kind of jobs. many thanks
H&G recruitment might be able to help you out they have loads all over the place. Also Reliance seem to be desperate for drivers to put on a contract in Harlow (3663 I think) might be hard graft but reckon you might get a start.

It’s not rocket science ffs!
You get your load put on, check if necessary tallies with paperwork( though warehouse should do that )
If multi - plan route and tootle off. Check each drop has got correct bits and tootle to next?
Trunking even easier A-B to A
Doesn’t take long to pick it up so I can’t get what they want when asking for experience?
Must be missing something but I get my weeks drops done ok and no ones complained I’ve foofed up so god knows what this mystic skill is [emoji57]

Don’t bother with email,they are probably too busy to reply give the office a ring on 01707 636680 its in St Albans and arrange to pop in for a chat. You have to sit a tacho test and they like you to know about the London lorry control scheme nothing too onerous but it will pay you to gen up before you go and see them.I have been with them about six months you get the option to go PAYE/Umbrella or Ltd company they have been as good as gold with me so far.

Agency seem to come up with this expierence thing when it suits them , not expierienced enough for trunking but ok to do 15 to 20 kerbside drops etc lol .
And I guess trunking sounds easy to some but what if it’s maxing your driving hours each shift , quite a lot if not used to it .
Something I want to get into as soon as I pass my c+e .
I always advise new drivers to start on trunking to get used to artics before moving onto city centre deliveries
Not for too long though. You can always spot a long term trunker who is on something else. Taking 6 shunts to get on a bay is a good indicator 
I am not sure if a trunking job is good for the beginning of the driving career. If it comes to days when you would start early in the morning let’s say at 2 or 3 AM then have a pattern of collection-delivery-collection, over 700 km driven and be stuck in the traffic on your way - you would get tired with this kind of job too quickly. In order to learn reversing and parking you would need to go stores deliveries.

I’ll agree with this. One of our lads was a night trunker but had to move onto days for personal reasons and back into multi drops.
Only been back on days a week and he’s managed to put a 12ft scrape on hire truck, starts halfway down ! No idea how you can get a turn that wrong and not notice!
He’s twanged 3 cars reversing into places and torn six, six!!! tears in the curtain.
And they still let him loose !
We keep having little bets as to what damage is next [emoji3]
