How can someone be experienced if they cant operate it because they aren’t experienced?
is that really the standard of CPC questions?
questions that rely on your understanding of English grammar rather than your knowledge of the job.
if it said fork lift…they may have answered differently
Leon, why do you ask this? Is it because the statement omits the word, “training?”
I wasn’t asked any questions in my CPC courses.
When I declined to sign a statement at Aldi (Lidl?) Wirral saying I had been trained to use an electric pallet truck (because I hadn’t), she pointed to the buttons and said, “Up, down, forwards, back. You’ve been trained.”

well you have been, but whether the person was competent is another matter ,
There is no legal requirement for any formal official training by a registered trainer. for most types of equipment including fork lifts

Did the lady not show you where your horn was
Yes that was a CPC question, WORD FOR WORD we got 10 questions for every module, 2 tests per day, over 5 days (that’s 10 by the way ) had to have 80% (8 out of 10 ) on each test, or do it again till you get it right.
I think we all got it wrong because we were enlightened on what PUWER acronym stands for , but not enlightened on any of their regulations, and we assumed it must be true.one guy got it right because he guessed as he didn’t understand the question.

Why did you agree to this? DCPC modules were an attendance only thing, just sit through your 7 hours and that’s it. You don’t need to answer any questions.
I must admit, there was one module that I couldn’t get my head around. It was about tramping hours and all that. I’ll admit to being a day driver and just knowing the basics. How trampers calculate all this ■■■■ is very impressive. My head hurt for a while.
Hi Sayersy
I didn’t know that either
we were all a bunch of newbies, as we have not done it before nor fully understand what is going on, we have to accept it as normal.
because I know very little about “TRUCKING” on the grand scheme of things, I did find it reassuring to pass these “tests” and get the feeling I am making progress. and I am not as “thick” as a Scotsman, (which is basically a Yorkie with his brains kicked in)
