I’ve just agreed a rate to do a job for Magnet’s tomorrow with a night out. Starting from Keighley and going to Banbury, Oxford, High Wycombe and Reading. No idea where they’re delivering to, but do know it’s a curtain and pallet job and might be dragon & wag.
I’m not familiar with that part of the world so any recommendations for a non-MSA truck stop would be welcome 
.
There used to be a decent cafe on the old A40 to the west of High Wycombe
cant remember the name of it tho…
When i stayed at Reading a couple of weeks ago i stayed in the leisure centres car park.
There is a Toby Carvery pub 2 minutes walk across the car park.
Think it cost me 6.00 quid for as much as you can eat.(not including beer)!

Rob leave High Wycombe on the old A40 heading west… and keep going the cafe is a few miles out on your right hand side.
Havent been there for years but the food was ok at one time
Try this Rob, come off jnc 4 take road into High Wycombe I think it s the A404,at mini roundabout take a left up to a set of trafic lights take a right on the filter lane, this will take you on to the estate ,take your first left then your first right .Theres plenty of room to park and its quiet. When youve parked come back to the service road turn right walk to the end of the estate theres a pub on the left and a rake of shops so you can take your pick I ve parked there loads of times its ok.
It is ok but i could not remember how to get there, i just followed one of our drivers on auto pilot, good pub serves foos until 2100 and there is a chippy next door good place to park it surprised me, but you will have to be out earlyish in the morning

As Welshman said there is parking on the Cressex in High Wycombe, alot park there, our office is just down the road. Also the old cafe mention is on the A40, if you come off at Stokenchurch - big hill with transmitter on top - follow signs to A40 High Wycombe and London you’ll see it a couple of miles down on the left. Don’t know whether its open in the evenings, but there are some pubs around.
If you are around that area give me a call, I would welcome the chance to buy the legendry Rob K a drink. I’ll pm you my number.
