Driving up the A1 (M) north between J42-J43 this morning about half 5 pulled out round a tanker as a 7.5t did the same I pulled in front of the tanker as the 7.5t carried on past me, fair enough crack on drive he was getting a shift on.but as he was overtaking me a Fowler welch artic tried to overtake him so had all 3 lanes with trucks.i had already slowed a bit to let the 7.5t past but as the road went up a bit mr clever clogs in the artic ran out of steam and was stuck outside him.
If he had waited 10 seconds for the 7.5t to clear me I know we have to be places to be but in that much of a hurry to take up all 3 lanes.

Yes did 8 months nights for Bhs and yes we have to be places prob more so at night.

I.e when the gritter is in the middle lane spreading and all the ■■■■■■■ cars sit in lane 1 to bloody scared to go past!
The only time I have hit lane three is when big fat oversized loads pinch our two lanes at 30mph
and whats wrong with using lane 3?during the night i’d think nothing of using it.a tesco and sainbury or whoever sitting at 52mph tring to overtake blocking the 2 inside lane and me that can do 57.well sir no way am i’m sitting behind them 2 nutters.express lane for me
common occurance when i was night trunking a few years ago…everyone was doing it,and the coppers never bothered us.not too sure they’d be so lenient nowadays though

In instances like that I make sure they don’t get past roadworks nowadays are a bit narrow, so stuff them they can sit behind me

had 2 Argos wagons playing silly buggers one day down the m1, 2 lanes ■■■■■■■ at 52mph for a few miles. At the time the tipper I had was good for 60+ on the flat! Got alongside them, friendly hand gesture, and was away… Minutes later plod cruised by and the passenger gave me a smile and a wave!

I can see the frustration, especially if its in the scenario of the argos wagons as mentioned.
but is it really worth a nick■■? All uou need is a copper like that aberdeen angus in an unmarked motor, and your screwed.
I’ve experienced old bill at night. It seems they go all soft as long as it’s not blatantly dangerous
