hiya,
Quite willing to offer my services as operations manager in charge of roping and sheeting
tuition, and when “not run off my feet” would be willing to sweep up in the bonded warehouse,
would be able to bus it to work but would need transport to get home, hic hic.
thanks harry long retired.

In all seriousness and not wishing to spoil anyones fun but I do know of at least 3 OD Co-operatives in Italy and one in spain and one in portugal that work really well. They do a deal with tyre and fuel companies, every one gets the same rate per mile and whats left over is shared equally at the end of the year.
Despite the fact that some guys do a lot less milage i.e. on locals etc there is no bickering by the others who do distance work as it is considered there own choice.
some of the positions people could filled…
Limeyphil: Head of International Operations & Customs Liaisons.
Phil with his many friends/contacts in the Customs World & having an excellent track record with Customs across the globe
Wheel Nut: Head of Customer/NIMBY services.
Deal and sympathise with the NIMBYs that ring in moaning drivers have flouted weight limits etc, on return the yard he can beat them with his walking stick
ROG & Coffeeholic: Joint Heads of Driver training
Both highly knowledgeable with in/outs/loopholes/myths of the RTD/WTD directives
Zippy: Chief Mechanic
With his knowledge he would know what you can get away with, with VOSA ensuring only bare minimum repairs a done to keep trucks rolling and profits soaring
Carryfast: Head of Vehicle purchasing.
With his knowledge, he would know if we needed 6x2 or 6x4 tractor units, tag axels etc. consulting with Wheel Nut also

Look I’ve already said I’m out. Don’t know about anyone else but the idea of working for a company run by drivers is my idea of a nightmare!it’s only pretend.
Oh really, you do surprise me.
bit of a queer comment.

CC. I like your thinking but do I really have to share an office with carryfast?
I can do the History section for the company brochure because apparently I am living in the past too.

Orys as Top Boss…He has to be, he knows EVERYTHING!
Not about transport - that for sure. And apart of that I imagine being top boss has to be bloody annoying. And you have to wear suit and tie… Definitely not for me…
I think my fate here will be rather different:
flat to the mat:
Toby,Orys, and Limeyphil not good, would cost too much on the health plan.SCF for CEO,How about Rikki for PR?
Flat don’t want me here anyway, when carryfast comes, he will ban me from the company because I am Polish and therefore evil, so I will have no choice as to start my own company in Poland and bring you down to your knees, as this is (I learned) what Poles do. Then I will be happy to employ some of you
thats a great idea :bulb: you work in poland and we
ll work in britain
orys:
so I will have no choice as to start my own company in Poland and bring you down to your knees
and i thought there was only one person on here into that sort of thing.
