anyone know of some where that I can park up for the night that is close to the M1 between Northampton and London that is safe quite with no howling trucking passing through and where I wont be woken up by Micky Blue for being a diesel pinching curtain slashing !@#$%

Watling St?
Been parked up 11yrs but i used to use j13,only med size but food good,shower poor,reasonable price[was]but this was before all the thieving was rife,is it still going?

I like Red Lion just north of Northampton.
Tried J13 (MK) last week and was seriously unimpressed, got there at 21:15, wouldn’t do any food or let me take a shower because they close at 21:30, so woke up early morning to take shower, “that’ll be £1.50 drive”, I said, I parked here last night, “yeah, £1.50 for everyone”, so I said why do people pay to park there?? Can park in the area for free and still pay the same for a shower.
£10 parking got a £1.50 voucher. The shower was good though IMHO, can’t comment on the food.

How times change mate,last time i was there the cafe was open till 10pm,the toilets and showers all nite,parking £6.00.and good grub.

Watling street is the A5 mate, and most commonly means the truck stop on the A5 at the M1 end.
