Mind you Spain was like that only 25 years ago and even now if you go to some of the more remote places it’s still like that.

It just makes you realise how well off we really are, very humbling pics really.

Cracking job for a single guy . Came across some of the roadies once on a ferry going from Denmark to Sweden they were doing a Micheal Jackson tour I think, a very strange breed of driver… :laughing:

It could have been his ERF, he had a DAF around the same time too or maybe an F88 Artic.

Basically the story was that he joined an aid convoy as a few people were doing in those days, the organisers hadn’t a clue, although they were paying the bills.

I remember John telling me that he had said he would go over an unmetalled mountain on a recce, then come back to report. when he went everyone argued and decided they would go their own way ignoring the advice of an old hand.

Im sure someone else must remember this :confused:

The Superfast ash tray was bought last year in the shop mate!!! think it was 3 euros.
The book is a new one Keith, it was written by the same bloke who wrote Football Factory if i remember, its not the 70’s one you said about mate.

Were still going strong!!, The McGuiness boys finished on the 17th in Nottingham,we then left Czech last nite, in Austria today, just watched Kris Kristofferson do a 1hr set, had a word with him after his set, the Rubber Duck is a real nice man…weve got Uriah Heap on at min, then Manfredd Man, then Whitesnake. Then were off to Budapest, Padova 5 round Spain, finish in Portugal 2nd August, ive got a few more pics to put up, will try to do it tomorrow.
