Trucking at M sport

Any info on driving at m sport pay, time away etc

word on the street is they are away a lot at the moment.

M-Sport are a big operation.

They are running at least two WRC spec Fiestas this year in the world championship, several cars in WRC2 and WRC3 plus what looks like half the British Rally Championship grid. They also run two Bentley’s in the Blancpain Endurance Series. They build all the Ford rally cars, so they will need delivering and anywhere a couple or more Fords or Bentley’s are competing they will have a parts truck just in case.

That being said. All their haulage is provided by Stobarts so fleet spec Scanias, crap pay, shocking planners and lots of Tesco when its quiet.

Was in there a few months ago and they had their own fleet, mostly Actros’s specced up nicely.

Not sure they use Stobart haulage anymore, think that just while Stobart we’re sponsoring the rally team.

I saw their Bently team on the Blanpain circuit last year, they were running 3 trucks on that, 2 Scanias pulling the race trailers which double up as offices and workshops and get parked behind the garages, the third truck was an Axor which pulled a kit trailer, this gets unloaded for the garage build and them parked out of the way, until the event has finished.
Not sure what their truck drivers do during the event, mostly on teams like this you look after tyres and fuel for the cars, although if you have other skills they might use those on a more suitable job. but what seemed like thier senior Truckie did seem to spend a lot of time in thier hospitality drinking coffee.
The Set-up looks pretty smart as you expect from a team running Bentlys, image is important as you’re dealing with some pretty rich sponsors and guests.

Not sure how long you’re likely to be away for, but was on the Blancpain Endurance and Sprint series last year plus a few other events. I spent about 16 weeks away last year and then looking after the trucks when back at base. The longest period I was away was a 5 week stint.

I only saw the Scanias last year. At Wales Rally GB it was complete with H number and girls name too. Perhaps its just for the rally side then.
