If you find out who did that to those trucks they should be dragged on here screaming and publicly flogged and then shot :stuck_out_tongue:

well actually, i kinda like the extra space. reckon they were made of plywood though!

How about the MFI sleeper convesion for an F10 Eurotrotter?

Where? i can’t see a truck in this picture.

Yes. My mate Howard drove one of them, there is more fat on a greasy chip so he was ok. Anyone with a beer belly would never be able to drive them. The seat back was against the plywood

Hmmm, I remember a Howard, but his surname escapes me for the moment.

The drivers always preferred the FL10s that these Eurotrotters replaced. But this conversion (actually by Estepe) did a lot to improve the space compared with the original cab which, by the way, was shorter than a standard Eurotrotter as well:

YES truckerash, definitely.
I can’t remember what work they did, but I do remember seeing Humphreys in Calais regularly.

Another British firm has sprung to mind. How about Tom & Jerry (Thompson Jewitt)■■
Does anybody remember doing “clear forward” at S.I.F.T. ICD??

And not to leave out the Irish guys, how about Sheertrans??
Who remembers Colin?? He bought a 111 from Sheertrans and became an O.D.

Those Bowker’s wendy houses reminded me that I used to see them when weekended in Santhia.
I only went to Carisio once. I didn’t stay long enough to lose my ■■■■■■■■■■■■ at Santhia

truckerash,im not sure of the grant connection but harvey grant also ran red and yellow gear from tandragee area in n.ireland,i can remember being taken for a drive in a mack ,about 5 or 6 of us,about mid 70’s.i think he also had drawbars on euro work back then, and liggetts was also from the same area. the fridge with manfreight reminds me of the man who owns that company.he was a friend of my brothers and drove for him for a while and then i remember him getting his first truck and doing some haulage for him before going on to where he is today with a big fleet on norfolkline work.trying to remember if his first was a scania 80 or a 81. many thanks.

truckerash, fantastic pics, defo thread of the century i think, have you got any pics of edwin shirleys or transam at all?

please keep the pics coming

Excellent post definatley gets my vote, keep up the good work.In answer to your question not to sure but think the F88 was run by an O/D name of Pat had a great big beard seem to remember that he had a rear extension on his F88 but not sure about roof, used to do M/E and Eastern Europe so strong possibility its DT ,sure some of the old boys on those routes would know.Would not have liked to have had to tilt the cabs and worked underneath either of them.

and now a request from me: Looking for any info on these 2 “beauties”. Anyone know anything? Dont think they were Peter Harding’s: not his style. Wonder if they were on for Davies Turner?
