Well travelled F88!

Nice pic of one of Mr Butler’s old motors. Fridge looks too modern to be his though!

Looks like the motor that Donkey Danny had

Here we go again!

Hello ADR,

was the swedish Volvo F 12 “VEBE” with arabic lettering yours?

I think it is the same as in an article in my book “Global Trucking” from Motorbuch Verlag Stuttgart (Chapter 11).

Regards

Franz

Hi Franz,
No the F12 wasn’t mine, it was just an expression I think myself & a lot of drivers have used to as we saw the Dovers white cliffs getting smaller as we headed for Calais again! I never ventured that far, all over Europe, the furthest that way I went was Greece. Took that picture from the book “Trucking Around the World”, maybe “Global Trucking” was the German translation?

Regards

Chris

Struth! Did he come down off the bridge behind him?

More Italian right-hookers!

scary!

This is the one that jackknifed on me.

No idea ADR, wasn’t my photo and no info. I think it is just an aquaduct behind. One of GBE’'s Cherbourg registered vehicles.

Hi Chris,

thanks for your answer. I don´t know, if this book was also available in English language.
The cover looks like this in the german version:
