Just made some compilations from recordings taken off my windscreen camera of my travels between Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane the last few months, hope some of you enjoy it!
its not like Luke’s video diaries, just footage.

When I click on any of the links, it asks me to download something. Doesn’t seem right to me!

I can’t get them to work either.

edited the links, do they work now?

I can’t get them to load. Doing odd things to my browser as well.

Hey beattun,

I enjoyed your vids, but boy have things changed since I used to tramp up and down the Hume! It used to be mostly single carriageway just north of Tullamarine, pretty much all the way up to about Campbelltown…

Looks a lot easier now. How long does it take you to travel Melbourne to Sydney these days?

Hi Beattun i enjoyed your vidios also the music especialy (spelling) part one &two keep it up (no pun intended) . :sunglasses:

heard manys a story about the old hume, ive only been over in Oz a few years so long before my time now theyve got the new hume, its freeway all the way from somerton to sydney bar woomargama, holbrook and tarcutta (all 3 in the process of being bypassed then itll be freeway all the way)

just under 10 hours now one way including 30 mins break, truth be told we could do in 9 if they hadnt got the point to point cameras for trucks

I guess you by-pass Gundagai these days as well! But if you ever get the chance, go and have a look at the old wooden Gundagai bridge at the bottom of the old High Street. I used to drive across that about five times a week.

Oh, and the little Harbour bridge. That was single track when I was doing Mel-Syd and many an IPEC MAN or TNT Kenworth came a cropper there! But they were rigid pans and traveled at about 75-80 flat out. Detroit diesels in the Kenworths. They were very, very impressive trucks…

I used to take a break at Albury truck stop, at about ten or eleven at night, and then crack on towards Sydney to arrive around 9.00 in the morning I guess.

To be honest, it sounds as if despite all the freeway, it’s taking about the same time to do the trip, but I guess we were doing 60mph or so average most of the time, except on the hills obviously.

… and they used to have a weigh bridge at Woomagarma. All that road from just north of Wodonga up to Yass was very twisty and hilly. And single lane as well…

I see you have Lane Hoggerz there aswell! Nice Video though! Can’t watch the other ones mate!!
Next one please! :sunglasses:
