Truckfest Scotland

Pretty decent weather up here now - sunny all day. Forecast for weekend not great though…

I hope to see plenty of pics of the truckfest this year. No doubt I will be taking plenty in september at the ‘original’ truckfest

Cheers

NO public transport. £4 for a burger £4 for chips. Drivers playing who’d got the loudest airhorn when they can see my little guy is screaming in tears (when they are parked up, not in the arena).

No where to buy an umbrella or poncho, couldn’t hear a thing from the PA system either.

It really has went way down hill from a few years ago.

Scottie, I did attempt to come see you, but you may remember me trying to console the wee man who was petrified with the airhorns standing at the front of your truck.

I would go again when he’s older, and take the car but deffo not worth £14.

Worth pointing out that the nearest bus stop getting there is a 30 min walk with few pavements and the nearest away is 15 min with no pavement and buses every 30 min.

The airport bus stops closer than any o the showground 10 min walk.

The show isnt the best but it’s good for us to catch up with people

Sorry Stagedriver never saw you today, a word for the wise if anyones coming on Sunday, bring your wellies and a brolly, it’s persisting it down at the moment and the forecast for tomorrow aint that good. :frowning:

short video enjoy

It was nice yesterday, but it started raining and aint stopped. Looks like more of the same today. Gr8.

I had a great weekend,1st time any of us travelled over to Scotlands truckfest, amd glad to hear they are holding their 1st ever Truckfest in Belfast next year, plenty of wagons and fleets i only see in magazines, and i picked up a few nice models to add to my slow growing new collection,i would definatly go back next year, its very easy got to and only 2 hours in truck from Stranrar comfortably,i will just need to talk my boss into sending a few more wagons over next year too,but im glad all the hard work of helping to polish the Titanic truck of Maxwell Freight Services paid off as they took the 1st prize for best artwork and murals, and it was up against some tough competiton, there was some beautiful contenders, like The Avitar,Fast and Furious,Stand and deliver,Colin McCrea,Tony McCoy themed airbrushed trucks, and Billy Bowie McGawn bros and Malcoms fleets were outstanding for working trucks too.
