it was the first one i went to for about 5 years and i really enjoyed it for the morning i was there, it was to hot for my lad so we went home early before trophys were given out. you can find a few photos here:

ive never heard of Truckfest Original Newark, whats it all about, is it not a live promotions event, is it the people taking it back from the big promotions company and doing it their way? is it called original just cos thats where the first truckfest was?
im not being argumental, just wondering what ther craic is with itā€¦

Carl, it is called Truckfest Original because the very first Truckfest event was held at Newark, it is still organised by Live promotions, it is the second time back at Newark after a very large absence, the first was last year

it is nowhere near as large as the Peterborough event, but it was a great weekend, didnā€™t see the winners list, was too busy chatting with friends for most of the weekend :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

this event has replaced the Truckfest Northwest at Haydock after there was a massive outcry from the hauliers who spent tens of thousands on their trucks, not just buying them either, for the last Haydock show to be won by a Transit van :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

re shuttlespanker, I wondered why the haydock show had ended, as when i went in 2010 i thought it was a really good show!! :astonished:

Brilliant pic - Iā€™m sure itā€™s the same reg and seeing itā€™s a tag axle seems to suggest itā€™s the same truck. Itā€™s a real blast from the past that, always loved seeing that as a kid.

They mustā€™ve had it restored for shows - never seen it on the road round here

Was great weekend, good catching up with old faces and meeting new ones, we cracked on got recovery demoā€™s etc done then got totally smashed in the bar saturday night, haha. roll on next year. OOOosh!

P.S if you need a driver for either ERF next year Iā€™m hoping to have my hgv license by then :sunglasses: Have a soft spot for the ERF especially the E14!
