i must say they both look stunning as they got polished up in a warehouse today,

then you will know you cant give the 2 Maxwell motors a place in the final as they arent going to be on the road most of the week.

Thats the reason i stopped going to/entering truck shows, when Friday nights/Saturday mornings i would be cleaning my motor after a weeks work, and do the tidying up (polishing)when i got to the show, the bloke next to me would say, i took mine off the road 2 weeks ago and painted the chassis, me and my mates polished it etc etc. You cant compete with that.

Know how you feel kindle :frowning:.

Been running logs out the forest to a boat for the last 3 days.

As you see i have been polishing lol

And my workmate " Wee Jimmy " is also going.

We just go for the beer and a laugh , no point in event thinking we will ever win anything.

The mud,s sill hiding underneath lol.

Think I may have seen you early hours of Wednesday morning around the glencoe/balacolise area loaded with logs?

I was heading for Truckfest today, knowing the weather wasn’t the best, but noticed Pollocks, AD Logistics and STC Haulage to name but a few all heading back home along the M8. This was at about 12.15 this afternoon. I decided that the weather and conditions in the showground must have been bad if these guys had decided to head home so early, so I turned round at Newbridge and headed home myself. :frowning:

Was anyone there today that can confirm my thoughts or did you decide not to bother going?

Im working a couple of miles west of the showground and its mostly been torrential rain since late morning.Wouldn`t put a tree out in that.

I was there today and it was definitely a wash out. most of the grass areas looked like swimming pools and most of the roads looked like rivers.

But apart from being soaked and walking in water most of the time I did have a good time especially as it was my first Truckfest

Can only speak for myself really but we had a great time despite the weather and we got caught in the worst of it!

i ESP liked this model so thought i would include it

Hello Fallmonk your Merc and trailer look well, It’s usually the ridgids I see at Nisa & Keystore in Sanquhar they allways look tidy as well,Allways makes a diffrence when a motor looks clean and tidy especially white it’s the worst colour to try and keep clean I drove a white roll on/off skip wagon on to the landfill site at Dumfries for few years it was a nightmare to try and keep clean.Eddie.

John Templetons Avitar Scania looks stunning. He sometimes pulls trailers for our mob when his powder tank work is quiet.
