Dropped the lorry off yesterday but not going back till tomorrow morning. We pay reduced entry for classics, I wouldn’t pay the full entry price. I see it as a chance to meet friends and catch up with people.
RANT ALERT: Why do some people feel the need to share their musical tastes with half the showground at any time? Let alone at 9am on a Saturday morning?
I can hear it and what’s with the non stop blowing of the horns

As my old man always says “what else did they get for christmas?” (normally accompanied by a shake of the head, they didn’t put air horns on ERF LV’s)

If they had it since Christmas they should be able to play a tune on it by now!
Some sounded good, others weak

Have just realised, these must be the same people who feel the need to rev up for quarter of an hour at 4am. They must have used all the air blowing their trumpets.
Yes I went for the first time, Took 2hours to drive to Peterborough but then nearly 2hours to get from the A1M junction to inside the showground due to queues. Still Was impressed with the sheer number of vehicles on display about 1600 so I was told by a Peterbilt owner. Got my Autograph and Picture taken with Lisa Kelly, saw Mark Dixon with a mile long queue of fans for autographs.

I thought they did that as a helpful pre/post alarm clock call in case yours fails to go off?!
To be fair ERFMarc my old man used to say that like your old man. But my old man was boring as he won’t work for anyone who modify their motors especially with air horns.
The classic cliche TNet phrase they could be using that money to give me a bigger rate of pay blah blah blah.

Would love to go, and it isn’t too far from me, but just don’t got the time this year.
I wish to thank everyone who visited our club stand at Truckfest this last weekend, it was the best show I have been to. The weather was perfect and certainly made up for last year. I have attended so many now and it is always great to meet friends and make new friends. Our club Professional Lady Drivers Worldwide is really growing in numbers now, with many of our new members being from overseas. The show was marred by 2 people being taken ill and the air ambulance was called. As the air ambulance came down into the arena over our stand it was good to watch, but sad for people who needed it’s services. The Air Ambulance is our chosen charity for our club, so please support them whenever you can. They do a wonderful job and I know a few people that would not be alive today if it were not for Air Ambulance’s quick response in getting the help the patients need. Looking forward to seeing lots of photos from the show and well done to those who won awards.
