I went about 7 years ago to Haydock, We had a good time and won a holiday. I had a go at the theory test and got 100%.
Then i went about three years ago, It was expensive, hardly anything there. I might as well have had a walk round fleetwood docks.
If it isn’t silly money to get in, and there’s going to be plenty going on, then i’ll give it one more go. I need to win another holiday.

Used to go regularly but ill be at work No bank hols off for me no more and im skint. Used to enjoy it

I did watch it for once and have to admit I was quite impressed with the app for finding the nearest Stobart truck to get a jump-start off after he’d flattened the batteries.
Dropped the lorry off yesterday but not going back till tomorrow morning. We pay reduced entry for classics, I wouldn’t pay the full entry price. I see it as a chance to meet friends and catch up with people.
RANT ALERT: Why do some people feel the need to share their musical tastes with half the showground at any time? Let alone at 9am on a Saturday morning?

Went there today and met up with drummerkev for the first time!
Never been before and the Mrs enjoyed it and jumped up into the seats of a couple of Merc’s and Volvo’s.
Was very good to meet him in person and for him to buy me and the mrs a beer. I owe you a breakfast or a couple of beers when I see you next Kev! 
Glad i bought the tickets in advance, the queues getting to the showground and into the place were immense though, nearly two hours from arriving in Peterborough to getting into the showground itself. Luckily I kind of knew the area to find a less busy gate to get in and then on to the parking fiasco, but still nearly an hour queuing to get my advance tickets… 
Took loads of photos, which I doubt any of us would be interested in 
but I was experimenting with a new camera lens and some settings I was learning, so hopefully its paid off. Saw a few of the local essex firms and fleets to me there which I was suprised by to be honest.
Also saw a new bertie on display or he’d left Luke for the weekend
The noisest truck was someone who had converted above his bunk with lasers and numerous sub-woofers, man that was loud, glad I’d never have to park next to him in a MSA if he turned that thing on. But I thought it was the general roll up-roll up events such as the BMX event, Truckfest radio and the fun fair rather than any lorries, they all seemed “quiet” most of the day
The air horns tended to be one lorry from hydro-cleansing it was their largest jet vac on the fleet (Megatron). They were was letting all the children sit in it one by one and have their photos in it and then let them go for the horns Which I though was fair enough as they were small children and excited in sitting in a big lorry.
The other lorries tended to be answering back, whether joining in or in annoyance I don’t know Hopefully the former.

PS Missed Mark Dixon and the stand. But I did see him walking along the venue roads by himself past the Mercedes picnic area (he seemed quite happy - don’t think any of the keyboard warriors had been to see him yet…) that Ice Road Trucker lady being followed by a YTS camera crew all day and Michelle Collins too
