I’m perfectly happy with mine. I work on a 6 on 2 off, so i lose a lot of my weekends, but that doesn’t bother me at all. I start at 5/6am every day, usually back in yard by 2pm and home by 3pm, so i get all the afternoon and most of the evenings to myself. Unfortunatly since starting this job, i cant survive on the 5 hours sleep a night i used to get, i now need at least 7 so i’m usually in bed asleep by 9

Have you seen the time?

intresting thought this swraith.
having found myself single now,my life consists of working away all week, one full weekend with my kids(which i love),and the second weekend,a weekend off for me time.
ive found myself constantly on the go,cant just sit and chill, because there is so much to be done.
my main worry is in the future finding a decent enough girl who will take my job etc into account in a relationship.is a weekend relationship good enough,i dont think so when meeting someone new.sad times.
you’re not the only one Buck, I’ve been single now 3 months, after an 8 year marriage. So nearly every weekend I have my boys over to stay with me, which as you can guess sort of knocks going out and having a few beers with the lads on the head. I’ll give my ex one thing though, if I do want to go out then she’s quite happy for me not to have the boys one weekend or to pick them up on a saturday.
Like you however, what happens if I decide in the future to try again in a relationship… will she take into account that I work away from home all week? that I have kids already? that I’m still friends with my ex?
