Hi All,

I am author of TTGuard - Trucker Time Guard app for iOS devices that just got approved by Apple yesterday. You can find it here http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/ttguard-trucker-time-guard/id511135392?mt=8.

We are happy to give away a number of copies to users who would be happy to use it (send me PM). This is our first release of the app so feedback/suggestions would be really welcome to us.

Thanks,

Andrzej

As an iPhone user and really wanting a timing app made for driving use I went and got this one. It seems pretty good, simple to use. I like that when you start your day and press driving it asks you 9 or 10 hours drive and starts the countdown. You seem to be able to see current driving time, weekly etc, it seems quite a nice app. Warnings for approaching break requirements, end of driving and also WTD warnings for breaks

Its only in landscape mode with I feel needs addressing, but its a tenner for a drivers timer which does appear to be the real deal. Look forward to using it in anger.

I have sent you a PM.

PM sent.

What I’d really like to see on TT for a future update (because I’m crap at maths and lazy) is the earliest future start duty time on the “Resting” screen for both reduced and regular rests (weekly and daily)

I have been using this app for a couple of weeks and so far I have been impressed. It does everything it sets out to do and is easy to use.

The customer support team are very happy to take ideas and to implement them for future releases.

I would recommend, I know £10 may seam expensive, but its still cheaper then being fined by VOSA or loosing your job.

Hi all,
Just like to say thanks to spottydog for his time and effort in creating and publishing this app. I bought it when it first came out and it’s the best £2 I’ve ever spent considering I could’ve bought an hour guard for approximately £70 . This is the wasps ■■■■■■■, on my phone, easy as hell to use and always updated. Would and have recommended to every driver I know on android.
Cheers luke

well i have tried this app on my phone now for the last 3 weeks and all i can say is well done mate well worth the £2 spent on it and i have recommened this to loads of drivers that i work with and they have said the same i have now removed my drivers hour guard from my truck and i will never use it again now this is on my phone i asked work to print my card of for one day last week and when i checked it againt the app there was a 5 min differance between the card and app that was in my favor that was over a 24 hours

So well done mate keep it up

well, it is very good!!
I did some search today and I found Truck Manager Pro. Is somebody using this app? if so, please share some info.

edit:
forgot the link:
play.google.com/store/apps/deta … nagerproen

price rise I see

What you mean? I’m in Germany and the Play store shows Turck Manager 2,99 € and the TruckerTimer 4,30 € - which one ?

He should be charging more… It’s a very specialised piece of software with only a niche appeal.

I’d happily pay £10 or £20 for it as a one-off for all the hassle it saves me.

(I’m the app author).

Don’t tempt me

Glad it’s working well for you, however.

Nice app btw , pay a few quid for this app or pay 10 quid for an egg timer from the services, you just can’t please some people

i’ve had this app for ages now but since the last update if you have a split break of 15 mins then 30 it dosn’t reset the driving i’m hoping it will get sorted soon

Hi: there may be a rounding error with this at the moment – so try resting 16/31 minutes instead of 15/30 minutes and see if it works.

I’ve fixed it for the next update. You can email/PM if you want to try out an advance copy, or it’s about 2 weeks off release (I hope!) otherwise.

Luke.

I found this on the weekend and decided to give it a crack.

I used it for the first time today. At the start of my shift the battery was fully charged…9 hours later and it only has 3% left!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

I fully appreciate it was going to be heavy on battery due to the GPS being turned on, the phone was not used for calls or texts, but I was shocked at quite how much it did use. I am not sure I will be using this app again unless there is a fix or work around for it??

Do the rest of you use the GPS feature if so how do you get on with battery life?

I found power consumption heavy with gps enabled so turned it off.
Would not like be without the app so happy to for go the gps function.
