Truck tcu resets

May be a silly question,
I have just reset the tcu in my car with a very few simple steps while sitting in it with the ignition on,it has made a major change in performance and a lot of things that were not working have suddenly started working again ,suspension better, more power from take off.
Can this sneaky trick be done with some trucks?
This trick can be done in the same way on different makes.
Have to say I was amazed at the changes

Guess you mean ecu yep by disconnecting the batteries for 20 min resets the ecu so it will return how you drive and forget any non major faults

Yes it could be ecu related but the trick I’ve been shown is to do with the tcu.
The automatic transmission unit.
The difference has been amazing
Will this trick work on a truck givin that a computer is a computer to a certain extent?

Basically it resets the brain of a vehicle and fixes bugs then after that is done it will show up the most recent faults other than having old faults that disrupt normal function .
If you get what I mean.
Also I think there should be a place on this forum for faults and rectification on its own even if its just for minor faults .

So this does not work on a truck? Maybe not!

Works on my mp2 when I got it I reset it by disconnecting the batteries

i think your getting things a bit mixed up here
The automatic transmission unit is a gearbox , nothing to do with the brains of the truck
Resetting the ECU will do as you have described but this TCU thing has got me lost

I’ve done it on my car and it works and I would say ecu also but the guy that told me about it mentioned a tcu that’s why I was asking on here to find out more and then I thought ,would it work on a truck, his car was an e270 auto .

The same technique worked on an Audi also, maybe it’s common knowledge and just an ecu reset ,but I just heard about it at the weekend and what a difference it’s made.
