Truck stuck in snow on grass

hello people today i was driving a class 2 on a country road up in conesst and coudnt see the road because off all the snow and hit the grass verge and that was it went straight into the grass then got stuck in the mud is this classed as a accident because there was no damage to the wagon and my employer needs me to write a statment ■■?

Wouldn’t have thought so. More along the lines of “one of those things”

Hope you got it sorted without too much hassle. Pete

I would have classed that as an incident to an accident, as there was no other vehicle involved.

Unless it waS intended it was an accident

So they were your tracks then

You should know what happens this time of year up there someone though about snow so there is snow

Its not an accident unless you’ve done some damage to your lorry, or hit someone or something.

If you’ve run onto a football or cricket pitch and done £20k’s worth of pitch damage by chewing it up then that might be a different case.

got to pay 500 pounds of recovery costs

Says who… Unless that’s in your contract I wouldn’t pay a penny

In this thread you say you want to have tomorrow off to attend a job interview but have been told you’ll be away all week.

Phone in sick, but don’t leave it to the last minute, [zb] a boss who wants to charge you £500 for being pulled off a grass verge that you couldn’t see because of the snow.

thanks buddy

I would say nothing and the next day park his truck up in the most unrecoverable situation possible, and as far away as reasonably practible for my own purposes.

I would then(probably by now,the next day)say to said manager " Stick your job up your ar*e."

Don’t forget to gently place the truck keys down on his desk…
