I just got a new job driving for dhl but have to travel 60 miles each way, would truckstops allow me to stay in their rooms to save me travelling each day? gonna get a flat asap
well with the petrol money u save from the 120 mile trip you could probably source a local b+b that would give you a room at 15/20 quid a nite through the week, and then you save a fiver with the breakfast!
will prob cost me £20 petrol each day plus £5 bridge toll.
Ofcourse truckstops would allow you to stay. Why wouldn’t they? Your money is as good as anyone elses.
Renting a flat is a good idea. Meanwhile maybe think of placing an ad. at somewhere like Gumtree or Loot for the area you’re working in (you don’t give us a clue) requesting accommodation wanted or try the website couchsurfing.
avonmouth/bristol area
i’m sure avonmouth truckstop does b+b and the food is top quality.
It would appear they do have beds, from £15.

Directions : From M5 J18 head towards Avonmouth. Follow signs for ‘trading est’ and ‘lorry park’
I work for DHL in Avonmouth on Smoke Lane, make the trip across the bridge everyday. 30miles each way, got myself a TAG, saves a few quid and its easy.
