Can anybody tell me, do most of the Truckstops/filling station in Europe have showers? If so, are they normally a pay-to-use facility or a free facility?

Hi Nightcontroller, all stops have showers some are good and some are excellent, it all depends on where you stop,the service is much better than you think,and although youmight pay itis normaly returned in the way of a free coffee,at many stops,
A good 90% have showers on the main roads and autoroutes. Usually cost around 2euro.
Thanks Guys, am shortly taking a year out and will be travelling round europe for a year in a converted ambulance. Was just trying to figure out how neccessary it was to install a shower in the thing.
NO you have no need to,but build yourself a secure and well hidden
lockable place to hide your important items, also before leaveing take photo copies of all your papers in the event that you do misplace or lose them, by doc,s this goes for your passport,driveing licence,car papers,
green card, do not for get to have your EIII CARD WITH YOU also a
get you home insurance when you are unable to do it your self,
ensure that you have various items with you like warning triangle, hi.visibilty vest (orange) required by< law ,spare bulbs,fan belt,
IF you are heading into the balkan area take your own injections,so that
you are sure that they are steril and clean, in fact talk to your doctorand ask his advice, things like headache tablets,etc are not cheap and unlike UK
you have to find a chemist when you require to buy these items,
some one else will also mnow throw afew more tips your way and then you can read digest and use what you belive is right for you have a nice trip where ever you end up
