A south bound 5 ton truck rear ended a parked 18 wheeler. The accident was on highway 5 near Merritt, BC, Canada. The driver of the 5 ton did survive, and was taken to hospital.

Usually there is a lot of snow this time of year… Unseasonably warm temperatures. I did not even use snow chains even once this winter…

Allegedly the air time truck had over heated his brakes. The truck was stopped in the right lane. BTW the shoulder was wide enough to park a full sized truck. There was no need for him to be parked in the right lane.
