The microwave has died in my truck🤬
Should I refuse to do nights out till fixed ?
What your opinion ?
Get the union to sort it out, that’s what the subscriptions are for.
There was a time that a microwave was something that Jeremy Beadle did with his left hand.
Defect it, if they don’t fix it then burn it to the ground.
With no working microwave, that’s definitely a VOR.
Fleet dept already made aware and will be defected tomorrow morning
Truck is only 3 years old and a Dometic 24v microwave
The motorway service areas have access to a microwave at the rear of the restaurants, they are there for parents to warm up the milk for a baby’s bottle, I have used them to warm up a meal.
Go back to Camping Gaz, peeling spuds in the passenger footwell, chopping garlic on the diesel tank and brewing tea with a loose cardboard box round the burner to stop the wind blowing it out. Garden chair jammed behind the driver’s seat ready for action. This is just the weather for camion stews!
99% of my meals are planned that if need be can be done in sauce pan or frying pan
Any one reading this thought I was serious needs to go wobble their head
I’m am not
I’m a bit more modern and use the cartridge gas stove , but can knock up a feast
Microwave is handy but not a must , I’d chose a fridge over microwave any day
Is this a joke ?
If it’s not the answer to your question is NO
Happy days.
Yep it’s a joke , all except that the microwave had broken down ,
But no great game changer , crack on peddle down
Now if it was a beer fridge that was k nackered I would say park the motor at the bottom of the yard.
To be serious, cooking with gas in the cab ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure a window is open. Rain hail snow or shine there MUST be ventilation.
Some years ago a driver was found dead in the cab, reason?? cooking with gas had used all the oxygen in the closed cab.
Be safe.
I had a driver turn up this morning and he walked out of the yard in five minutes because there was no sat nav in the lorry, I left an atlas in the cab.
Now you’re talking GOM! I wouldn’t take a lorry out unless there was an uncorked bottle of Rioja in the holder next to the driver, with the vacuum pump nestling in the ash-tray.
No ash try in the cab, it stays parked up.
That’s care in the community for you
Care in the community won’t accept me as I’m too mad and a liability on their public safety insurance policy.
Where I worked once took on new driver first day he came in said where’s sat nav how am I supposed find places.
He looked confused said company’s provide satnavs. I don’t own one.
Told him use your phone for now we’re get you a basic second one from someware.
He wasn’t happy at all
