My mate has broken down in Wetherby Services with what he thinks is a turbo issue.
It’s a privately owned Mercedes Atego 7.5t that he uses to transport his drift car around in.
Does anybody know of a mechanic near that could go and have a look for him?
He’s been stuck there since last night scratching his head.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Cheers
I’m parked up next to them and will take a look- but more helpfully give them some numbers of local LGV recovery firms! Poor guys…
Good luck getting a mechanic out at ten to six in the morning

Thanks a lot mate.
Their good people so hopefully someone will come to their rescue
I think they were just a bit shell shocked, exhausted and upset- obviously been getting no go answers from AA/RAC etc and a silly price from Green Flag so pointed them in the way of a local recovery and workshop firm. Looks like bearings on the turbo by tge almighty whistle!
They still there mate local firms want a grand to come and look at it.
Booked in when??:

I’ve just heard from them and he’s unloaded his car and been and bought a new turbo for £700 and fitted it himself ha ha.
Thanks guys for your help in trying to get him going and if any one see’s a 7.5t on paddy plates on A1/A14/M11/M25/M20 give them a toot as you go past

Good stuff, like to hear when people dodge round the rip-off call outs. I managed to get the nearest dealer to deliver to me in the layby when I had the same.
If ever needing a tow in worth checking with local bus companies as some offer it as a service and are always way cheaper than the recovery firms where you’re paying for the finance on their blinged up wrecker that sits in the yard most days.
