Truck map

Got a snooper satnav but also want to buy a uk atlas/map to keep in my lorry just in case. Is there such a think as a truck atlas which displays bridges, weights etc? Or is it a case of just buying a normal road atlas… Will only need a UK one.

Found this on eBay, item number: 351229842533

Anyone used it before?

i keep in my cab a Philip’s ‘Navigators Truckers Britain’ road atlas.it has 6209 bridge heights,1477 weight limits,256 width limits.£19.99 from WH Smiths

This one

Or this one

Prefer the AA standard truckers not the big scale (which is ok for office or stationary but too big and unwieldy for glancing at in the cab), find it easier to read and more manageable.

However unable to find an AA edition more recent than the one you posted, hence i have the Philips you linked to.

Last update for the AA was 8th edition in 2011, and it’s cheaper on the AA website!

Ah good and well spotted, if they’re flogging the old ones off cheap then maybe a new edition is on the cards.

I’ve always bought the AA ones in the past and thought they were excellent, this year however I succumbed to the more recently updated Phillips.

What a horrible map, the bridge icons are miniscule and barely stand out at all and the scale and most importantly the page layout including transition from one page to the next whilst trying to follow a road is really unintuitive and just badly thought out.

I will be purchasing the AA one again even though its a 2011 release (my existing one is an 08) as imo it is the far superior “at a glance” map atlas, hopefully the previous poster is correct about an impending new AA release as although I doubt many bridges will have changed since 2011 there are a few new road layouts and bypass’s I’ll imagine.
