TRUCK Mags. '75, '76, '77

I wonder if anyone has these magazines in their collection.

I wrote an article which was published and entitled ‘Night Out on Tahir’ and would very much like to locate it as I have lost all the copy.

Thanks in advance for any help in searching for it.

Andy means the years 1975/76/77, mate. I’ve looked through my files and I haven’t got this article. Hope you find it! Robert

Complete blank so far!

Someone out there has hopefully got a pile of the mags. stashed away!

Somewhere in the depths of my empty head I think I’ve read that story, was that the one where the driver got out of his cab and the army ■■■■■■ he had wouldn’t let him back in it and he had to spend a very cold night outside. As I say I may be wrong.

I thought that bit was in the tale of the trucks that took currency from the Royal Mint to Pakistan. Robert

It was me in a Freightlanes 1924 without chains in the depths of winter in Eastern Turkey!

So I was correct for once  Hope you find the article and post it on here, it was a cracking read as are all your memoirs. Love reading them

Somewhere I have some issues of “Supertruck” the annual special of “Truck”…I will search for exact date of issue

It concerns Supertruck 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1983…PM me when you are interested

I think they would be too late. The story came out when I was driving my GMC Astro and that was 1975/1976.

Have a look when I get chance

Thanks so much Biggee. I’ll really appreciate it. The article was over three or four pages.

Still no sign of the article. Think I’ll have to pay a visit to the British Library’!

Andy send an email to the office administrator of CM or T&D, the address will be at the front of either magazine.

When I was at TRUCK we had a full collection of magazines, I’m sure they’re still kicking around and if the same woman still does the admin job you’ll get what you’re looking for as she’s a proper diamond.

Thanks Newmercman I’ll give that a try!

If it’s still the same crew there, her name is Sandra Greaves, she will help you out.
