Truck Driver (1) DC office staff (0)

A few months back, I made a post stating that the office staff at my first pick up were in the habit of leaving their cars on loading bays. Well, they still continue to do so and I guess one truck driver must’ve got a bit fed up with it and decided to do something.

It was a bit of a tight sqeeze trying to get my truck into the next bay but it was worth it just to see this.

The unfortunate owner would have to go into the warehouse to find a pallet truck, and then wheel it 200 metres to the van loading docks which are on level ground, and then wheel it another 200 metres back to the car to remove the pallets, before having to repeat the 400 metre process to return the pallet truck to the warehouse. That’s if the warehouse staff let him take the pallet truck in the first place as their own company policy states that pallet trucks must not be taken outside onto an uneven surface.

Ah well, lets hope the office bod didn’t scuff his pointy brown shoes freeing up his car.

Must have been a female office worker to drive a car like that …

No way,its parked in a straight line.

Its an old french car, reverse and knock the pallets over bit of shunting and they are out at an angle, best of all the cars value couldnt get any lower as its worth zilch, so happy days all around :grimacing:

Or just sling pallets to one side and off they go [emoji849]

Could have been loaded pallets ,Far more entertaining

There is cool Invention you can use to move pallets without a pallet truck.
It’s called the ARMS system. Really simple to use and you always have it with you.

ARMS, attached removal and movement system?

Or use a fork lift or jack to lift the car then drop it on the pallets.Bonus points for removing the wheels and placing them next to the pallets and hiding the wheel nuts in the exhaust pipe.

Sure, the ARMS method of removal could definitely be implemented in this case, but it’s still going to be an inconvenience for them at the end of the day, especially if someone captures their struggle on a mobile phone camera. Being a left hand drive, the highest pile was left next to the driver side.

Or the car driver comes out, slings the top three pallets off from the pile in front of their car, tips the rest to the side then drives away and some other poor sod has to move the pallets back to the pallet storage area. Most probably not the car driver or the person who placed the pallets round the car.

Far better to pick the car up and put it on top of the pallets.

All answers so far are incorrect.

The correct answer is here; Remove as many euro pallets as possible to help out another human being. Ensure pallets are put in a safe and secure place in order to not have trip hazards in the yard. This is best achieved by using your wagon.

Next step; As you have already helped another member of the human race out, your next responsibility is to the environment. Recycling is the best method and I have been reliably informed that pallet recycling stations can be found at many MSA’s.

I visited one such place at Chester MSA on Thursday because I had six empty pallets (of an odd type) on my ferry trailer from a drop in Blackburn (had paper rolls on them, but the customer only wanted the rolls, not the pallets) on my way to reload steel coils at Shotton (Clwyd). Anyway, the bloke who runs this pallet place mentioned that he didn’t want this type of pallet because they were (zb)! :imp:

Didn’t know that these places were dead picky when it comes to pallet types (they probably only want Euros, Cheps, etc)! :imp: :smiling_imp:

Chester services is a regular haunt of the Beaver, and you are correct. The two lads there are big fans of euro’s and decent 4 way whites. (Or erm…so I’ve heard  )

And at £3.50+ a pallet, tea and biscuits are quite quickly paid for.

The helmet at Washington can go [zb] himself though, I’d rather fling 33 in a hedge than deal with him.
