I have no knowledge of ETS but I see there are a lot of fans/players here. Is there a designer thingy within the game that you can play with, select your truck make and model and paint various bits whilst clicking with your mouse? I see tons of creations on Flickr and there are groups specifically for this kind of thing. I want to have a play around with some colour scheme ideas myself but the Scania website configurator is completely hopeless for this beyond a base colour. If not ETS are there any websites/programs where this kind of thing can be done? And no, I don’t possess the abilities to do this in Photoshop or even MS Paint.
I feel that I’m missing out on something here. That ^^^^ was recognisably English, but I have no idea what much of it meant.

Pleased about that,.I thought it was just me.
I reckon you two are well on the way to a permanent transfer to the old time truckers threads . Slightly grumpy , dislike of today’s drivers , rose tinted glasses ready . I’ll keep you a place open when you’re ready we need some fresh blood .
Nah, Maoster is a lot older than me, he’s half way there already, where as me…I’m down with the kids man.

Do not confuse wiser and prettier with older my friend
Honestly never used Euro Truck Simulator which I assume is what you mean, rather than the user on here, but if you can give some links it might be possible to figure out how they’ve done it.
I assume you’ll be wanting to paint it with flowers all over it in a throwback to 1960s Carnaby Street or Saville Row? Teach them youngsters when trucks were proper trucks and a plank was a bed, not a nickname for Dozy?

For those who haven’t seen the pic with the baseball cap, I can confirm Robroy is Benjamin Button.
I don’t think you can paint freely on the truck in ETS. There are preset color patterns (paint jobs) and for some you can change the color of each individual pattern but not its shape/size/position.

Are you stalking me?
Are they your trucks or your firms trucks?
If its the former speak to a graphic designer who can knock up some stuff on their software (most likely for nothing if there’s work out of it at the end)
If its the latter, let the top bosses decide and get back in your box

Think you’ve missed it, it’s about a computer game, you pretend to own and drive a truck, and op wants to snazze up his pretend “rig”

No come on man…you’re winding me up.
Can I just say to anybody (who is mildly interested), that through all my range of different types of fantasies, none of em have absolutely ■■■■ anything to do that involves a ■■■■ truck.
Blondes, fast cars, beaches in Barbados, money and football certainly,
Trucks?..
Definitely not.

That is disappointing then. Whilst idly browsing the internet, I did stumble across “mod packs” which you can install alongside the program and load custom designs presumably to your in-game truck, but it all sounds complicated to me . It’s a shame that there doesn’t appear to be a designer/simulator type thing where you can easily design your own and rotate the truck around to ‘paint’ the various bits.
The Scania configurator is absolute garbage. They don’t even have a configuration for a 6x2 tag, only a 6x4 or a 6x2 mid . You can only do a 360 of the interior too, not the exterior.

They’re the firm’s, but although the gaffer is a top bloke, he has even less imagination than me and just spec’s Scania factory default off-white and then sticks the company logo on the front and half of the Kelsa shop. In fairness, this does look smart on our R-series NG Highline with gloss black grille and then white skirts, white mud guards and Durabrites, but on the work we do it needs cleaning every 5 mins to keep it looking good and white mud guards and skirts are not a good combination on muddy roads to farms . Collectively, we seem to spend more time cleaning the trucks than we do driving them. The gaffer is open to the idea of having some colour on the next new one and wants to see some examples if we see anything out there which would work with our logo. He would get an agency to do some designs as money isn’t a concern, but the cogs turn at the pace of a snail and we’ve learnt over the years that it’s better to do or organise 99% of the work ourselves and the final 1% is him saying “yes that’s fine” and getting out the company credit card.

Yes my S500 looks mint, but its white so doesn’t stay that way for long and tbh we’ve git a wash brush and a hosepipe to keep it clean with which isn’t high on the agenda in this weather. Its a needless interaction with the elements
I was it a week or so ago in a quiet hour then got it out onto the A5 but couldn’t get out ahead of an oncomimg tractor so had to sit behind it for a mile or so kicking up mud/salt/grime rendering my hour completely pointless.
