If you chop a few tree branches per day while driving your truck is it an offence not to report it as debris will be on the ground causing other drivers to driver around the branches. It could cause a puncture.
Highly unlikely a tree branch will penetrate a car tyre,no it’s not an offence.
You might get a bit of stick for it.
I know I wood.
Bus companies used to use open topped deckers to chop low branches down, now they leave it for lorries and use single deckers

I ought to get danger money for having to approve your posts EB
If you knock a big branch into the road why not, stop, and move it onto the verge? We can argue about the legalities of branches overhanging and causing obstruction etc, but why make a fuss? Clear it up and carry on.

Tree parts carelessly strewn all over the road ? Hmm sounds like a case for special branch
Getting my coat
I´m the branch manager. What was the question again?
As with low bridges just make sure to hit it hard enough so the next trucker doesn’t have to deal with it. Always clear a path!
The other question being, if you’re hitting branches, rather than trimming fresh growth, should you be there? Are you really the first truck to use that road in years?

If the bush is having regular trims, it’s doubtful that you are first on the scene mate.

This is like one of those Russian dolls: the more you open up, the more you see…

This is turning into a ROOTS series
There are a lot of planks driving lorries, knot like when I started [emoji23]
Yew Alder Pear may remember this.
If catching branches in urban areas is a concern for any driver, try doing a trunk instead.

Had to read that twice, it took me a while to twig on, I was almost stumped. A branch in the road will need clearing: you may need to pollard on it to shift it. Needs doing though, the copse could take action otherwise. Not Burnham Wood way is it?
I’m outta here. Sorry
