Was looking for some old documents the other day and came accross these pics.
Atkinson and Seddon Atkinson related.
So I thought I would put them on and start a topic of Transport related sites now closed, so see what you can dig out of your collections chaps (Parking sites, workshops, depots, cafes etc) the list goes on and on.
If you put a picture of what the site is now on here please, also put an old one with it.

LIFT was the bloody pits - slow clearance then miserable idle ex dockers not wanting to tip you - good riddance
Yes ain’t that a fact.
They all (to a man) hated lorry drivers as they equaled work for them & as far as they were concerened that was not an option.
Meet a few of them years later at Higgs (now gone as well) and they still had the same attitude & they were all life time members of the Dagenham mafiosa whose motto is grab grab & when you have enough grab some more.

Used to backload from KT Hails in, i think, no1 shed.
I remember having a fry up in the little “cafe” there and seeing rainwater dripping into my tea from the perferated foof.
I didn’t mind going to the LIFT, usually meant you’d get your head down for a while.
Also used to park there, often on a friday night, ready for saturday groupage out of Rainham or where ever. One of us would play taxi driver and bobtail into Bethnal Green, to Gina’s cafe for a T bone steak and all the trimmings.
I beleive it’s now covered with the “Westfields” shopping complex, next to the “O/P”.

P&O Pandoro Fleetwood
The B&I Subbie (R&J Wells) at Fleetwood Ro Ro site late 1980’s and as it is today. Sad as a lot of people worked at this site.
Including me! The first 6 years of my working life were at Pandoro in Dock Street. I don’t remember ■■■■ Wells running that MAN, or even subbing for B+I LIne, though I did leave in 1982.
Sorry to see the LIFT go. We had a shed in there and used to top up with groupage (MAT) But worse still is the sorry site of the fleetwood dock deserted. Why don’t we invest in our industry instead of shutting it down.
