Transport office staff, planners.stories about about their

basicly drivers not very happy about transport office staff, planners ,good in staff.jobs organisation.to many time drivers can hear comic, stupid answer ,especialy,if calls up them.what stories, situation ,answers you had■■?

I came off the road and went into the office at a medium sized haulier, you would not believe the things I found out about my driver colleagues :open_mouth:

A few of them turned out to be ok, but for the most part they were a BOCs, grassing people up for taking a break, hiding out after doing a delivery so they never got aother job, getting in late and missing delivery/collection slots which threw the whole day’s planning into chaos, sucking up to the office staff to get the cream work, moaning about every little thing, no matter how good the job they got, it wasn’t good enough, they were more worried about what the others were doing than they were about earning money, the day men moaned that the night men were messing up the lorries inside and doing all the damage to the units and trailers, the night men blamed the day men…

At least half of each day was spent sorting out unnecessary problems that were caused by drivers, 100% of those problems were attitude related :open_mouth:

You know that old saying about seeing yourself as other people see you, well most drivers would be shocked and disgusted with themselves if that were to happen :open_mouth:

Now I’m back on the road, things have changed…the office monkeys are once again the enemy

You work for Cemex  i claim my £5

No not Cemex, but I could’ve been working anywhere, ask anyone from any traffic office and I’ll bet they tell the same story

Might this also be a reason for so many Agency drivers?

I don’t understand companies & their love for agencies, if they love them so much why not just run their whole operation using them, no perm/full time drivers, that way you know where you stand & the wage bill could work out cheaper & less obligations to a certain extent…?(this is just my assumption btw, I haven’t a clue how it all works)

be careful what you wish for
