Did it 18 months ago.
I took the exam last month, found out on Monday that I passed the multi-guess part, will find out in a couple of weeks about the case study.
Gary
I passed mine first time in the June exam. What advice are you wanting mate?

My friend and I are thinking about doing it as Home Study.
How much work is involved ?
Is it possible to quantify it in study hours ?
Is it possible to buy a second-hand Home Study pack ?
We don’t have a local class but how long would you have
to spend in class for the £1000 that some tutors are quoting ?
Some talk about including 35 hours for DriverCPC but we
already have our DriverCPC until Sep 2019.
Does the TM CPC also have an expiry date ?

Past papers are your friend.
I tried home study but couldn’t get on with it so did a classroom course, it was two weeks and I found it very hard going as did everyone else on the course. Either way I’d say you are looking at 60-100 hours. Once you’ve got it, it never expires.

Thanks - I’m just looking through the following syllabus :

Home study can work for someone with transport background as well as business knowledge (contract law, financial management, industrial relations , H&S etc.) in other words you need to be ‘a good all rounder’. The manuals maybe useful - even if out of date (you can get regular updates). But most Home study courses include a ‘new’ manual.
The course I did lasted 10 days block study(6hrs per day) + all study materials + lunch + exam entry fees ALL FOR £800 (no VAT - charitable status). The instructor emphasised we must put extra work in outside classroom (recommended Guided Learning Hours approx.120 in total, I recall) meaning same amount of time doing self-study as classroom tuition. This route has a much better pass rate than the home study format - where you are essentially on your own.
The TM CPC does not expire over time & is now a combined National/International Qual. - so no International upgrade reqd.
The course I did wasn’t approved to count as DCPC but the exams were on-site (OCR approved exam centre). If anyone wants details of centre name/location PM me. I highly recommend this ‘route’.
I did the first of the new combined ones, to be honest the exam was easier than the coursework suggested it would be, plus for the case studies you can use your notes and other paperwork to help. I also paid a bit more and got my DCPC included.
