Was he on the TV programme? Maybe that’s how he was caught! “I thought that job was off.” [emoji846]

Yeah, usually sitting at the back smiling and eating cakes.

Similar thing happened to us, less money, but still several thousand. Guy had a total breakdown and just wandered off with a load of our money.

You can never tell.

He wasn’t very good at it. The usual way is a “long firm” fraud. You set up a sham haulage company and send your employer invoices for work that did not actually happen. In a big organisation, this is difficult to spot because of course, you are the one who signs off the invoices.

I nicked a few pens and paper clips

for his 200 hours unpaid work…hope they put him back on the road for Kings Heavy Haulage

This is news? :grimacing:

And they used to say that stealing from your employer was worse than stealing from somewhere else…and he only got a suspended sentence…and 200 hundred hours washing grafitti off of walls ■■ he has to compensate Kings whatever that means…as he cant afford his finances now, so no chance of paying them back…although he should.
I hope in his next job application, he asks kings if they will give him a reference.

Says in article, already in employment so next reference is sorted.

wasn’t he seen in the supertrucker’s programme,i worked for a well known company many years ago, a team leader there was spending hundreds every month on gambling, when I mentioned it he replied if you can’t afford to bet don’t do it,in other words being a flash git, after I left there I bumped into one of my ex colleagues, turns out this other guy had done the company for just under £100,000 with forged invoices, they offered him a choice, police and the risk of prison or he could pay it back,he ended up paying it back after selling his flat, had no choice,no excuse for stealing that amount.

Oops

that’s true,and a lot more

know a bloke who has his garage chock full of specialist linesman gear ,all stolen from his workplace over the years. stuff he cant ever sell nor use . must be sick in the head

I reckon the VAST majority of us have stolen things over the years.

The question is this " What’s acceptable to steal? ". The obvious answer is that nothing is acceptable, but how far do you go? Is it ok to print your pictures off at work and use their ink & paper for your own use?

What about eating some of the food you are cooking at a restaurant? Maybe pinch a pen or notepad? What about a towel or dressing gown from a hotel? etc…

Most of us are thieves. It’s just how we justify the level of theft that is arguable.

Nicked many a paper towel from depot bogs I have delivered to , ■■■■ hot for cleaning ya mirrors

I buy my own work gloves

Its not Transport Manager Steals from Company, but it was my Boss he was based in Surrey BC ( Canada ) and I ran the branch in Calgary . He wasn’t the best boss I,d worked for and there was red flags when I opened the depot , I took 6 guys on, put racking up and help unload stock coming to us from Surrey . I would say at least once a month they would ring and ask for us to send them stock as they were short so I,d send them stock , I did a stock take in Nov 2015 and stock in Calgary was spot on but within weeks calls again from Surrey to send them stock because they were short , so I called the head Sales Manager and ask why all the problems to be told that the RCMP ( Cops ) were there arresting my boss. 1. of his trick was to buy say 100 Tires and landed them on the system but only put 50 into the warehouse the other 50 he sold and put the money in his back pocket, when I asked how much was missing the sales manager said $250,000 and climbing . When they came to empty my depot the owner asked me why we didn’t use the Forklift in the corner , I told him that its was damage and I had a quote done to repair it ($5200 ) and guess what he said the Mr ****** had put a invoice in for that amount and the job was done , Well no its not because I only got a quote and passed that onto Mr ***** and that was the end of it for me . The depot was closed and 7 of us got laid off the owner said he couldn’t afford to run 2 depots with that amount of loss

Perhaps “Kings” can emasculate him, and turn him into a queen? :unamused:

…Or maybe then get him to sit on his own face? :stuck_out_tongue:
